Hmmmm..............I dont seem to have done much posting of late but then I haven't made any cards lately.

This isn't a card either but an award that I got from my friend Elaine.
The rules are to give it to five others, who shall give it to five others. You shall link the one you got it from, and also the ones you give it to and let them know. You also have to write down five things you are addicted to.
Now the only problem with this is that I dont think I am addicted to anything really or not that I can think of.
I could give this award to 5 people but they have probably already recieved it and its quite difficult deciding who to give it to. So I shall do that copout thing that others do and award to all readers of my blog......there, how's that.

I have been busy.

I have been busy making some christmas cards for a couple of orders I had. They are nothing fancy as I find when I am making a lot of cards at the same time that I dont have the inspiration or the inclination to keep changing the design.

These are probably 2 of my personal favourites and find that my customers always like these too. They are 3d cards that you can find on cuddly buddly.

.These images can be found at pc crafter. Sentiments are done on the computer.

Carol singing Dottie and George, I just love these images and you can find them at Charmed cards & Crafts. The backing paper was a freebie download.

This is a great image for a young girl. I got these from DAISIE company I think as a freebie.

again all pc crafter images with backing papers from various sources.

A perfect image for someone who love Westies, I downloaded this image from graphic garden.

As a change from christmas here's a birthday card I was aked to make using the Kanban lady and embellished with flowers.

Thanks for looking.

Blog candy

Claudia over at pretty pressings has some lovely blog candy up for grabs, why not pop over and have a look. If you haven't been there before you will just love her cards.
On a roll I made a christmas card. The backing paper is from shabby princess and the image was a freebie from art and scraps. Image done on puter again and embellishements added.

This is the other birthday card that I was asked to make. This was the design that was requested but he didnt want cute and didn't want really modern, to be honest I was a bit stuck as to what he might like. This is what I came up with, hope it fits the bill. The image is a stamp that I water coloured and then added 3d gloss to but you can't tell that from the picture. I was also trying to find a different way of attaching organza ribbon, not sure what I think of this, it will probably all fray

Well I have finally managed to make another card. I was asked to do a couple of birthday cards, will show you the other one when its finished. The backing papers are from pink petticoat and the image is a penny black stamp that I coloured with water colours. Sentiment made on the puter and embellishments from stock.

Blog candy

Wow you have to take a look at this. The lovely Elaine is offering some fab blog candy in honour of her up and coming 40th birthday. She is giving a way 2 sets of the ever popular promarkers, very generous. Click here and have a look.

Saturday, 25 October 2008

I was challenged by the lovely Sonia to make a christmas card purely from Pink Petticoat (I think she is trying to help me find my mojo) and then to pass the challenge on. Anyway here it is, it's not what I set out to make but is what I ended up with. The backing papers are from simply christmas and the image is a partridge in a pear tree. The sentiment was done on the puter and the bottom corner looked too bare so filled that up with something too. I pass this challenge onto Elaine as I know that she is a great PP fan.

This is a card I have made for the Secret Crafter Saturday Challenge. This what they had to say.

This week's sketch is from Sue. Use the sketch anyway you like as long as we can still recognise it! No theme or technique again this week so lets see what you create!

I do think that I should have made this on a square card, not sure why I didn't, however, its done now and I am not changing it.

Wednesday, 15 October 2008

Here's 3 nice quick and simple cards I made yesterday. Used Dottie christmas images and a sentiment made on the puter. Added a bit of christmas sparkle which probably doesn't show up on the photos. You can find Dottie here

Blog candy.

The lovely Edna is nealy one year old now and she has some fab candy up for grabs. Here's what Edna had to say.

I'll be one on the 17th October so to celebrate I am offering some blog candy to one lucky person. I have thought about it and thought about it and decided that instead of me picking out bits and pieces, it would be great for the winner to choose their own stash. Now I know you can't run amok in my craft room so I'm offering a gift voucher to be used in Joanna Sheen's web shop to the value of £20.00.

If you have never vistited Edna's site before get yourself over there as she makes some fantastic cards, well worth a look.

Here's a card I made for a challenge. I quite enjoyed making this as I have never made a halloween card before. I used a mixture of papers from summertime designs and sugar snap scraps the little ghost was a freebie image I picked up a long time ago and can't remember where from. Embellished with a greeting done on the puter and halloween confetti, which I knew would come in useful one

Tuesday, 7 October 2008

I just thought I would share with you all my lovely handmade birthday cards I received. All these cards came from my friends on the cuddly buddly forum. It was lovely to open all these cards and see the different designs and they are also a great source of inspiration.
